Therefore here are the 3 common questions related to baby exercises and tossing. </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-size: small;"><b><span style="color: purple; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Question # 1: </span></b></span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><b><span style="color: #990000; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Do you recommend exercise in the open air for a new born baby? and if so, how soon after birth?</span></b><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I am a great advocate for is having exercise in the open air. "The infant in arms makes known its desire for fresh air by restlessness, it cries for it, cannot speak what he wants but if you take out in an open air, he will be quiet."</span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">The age at which he should commence taking exercise will of course depend upon the season and upon the weather. If it is summer and the weather is fine, he should be carried in the open air, a week or a fortnight after birth but if it is winter, he should not on any account to be taken out under the month and not even then unless the weather be mild for the season and it is the middle of the day. </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">At the end of two months he should breathe the open air more frequently. And after the expiration of three months he ought to be carried out every day, even if it be wet under foot provided it be fine above and the wind be neither in an easterly nor in a north-easterly direction. By doing so we shall make him strong and hearty and give the skin that spotted appearance which is so characteristic of health. He must, of course, be well clothed.</span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I cannot help expressing my disapprobation of the practice of smothering up an infant's face with a handkerchief, with a veil or with any other covering when he is taken out into the air. If his face be so muffled up, he may as well remain at home as under such circumstances, it is impossible for him to receive any benefit from the refreshing effects of the fresh air.</span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><b><span style="color: purple; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Question #2</span></b><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><b><span style="color: #990000; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Can you devise any method to induce a new born baby himself to take exercise?</span></b><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">He must be encouraged to use muscular exertion and for this purpose, he should be frequently laid either upon a rug or carpet or the floor. He will then stretch his limbs and kick about with perfect glee. It is a pretty sight to see a little fellow kicking and sprawling on the floor. He crows with delight and thoroughly enjoys himself. It strengthens his back, it enables him to stretch his limbs and to use his muscles and is one of the best kinds of exercise a very young child can take. </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">While going through his performances his diaper if he wear one, should be unfastened, in order that he might go through his exercises untrammeled. By adopting the above plan, the new born baby quietly enjoys himself. His brain is not over excited by it; this is an important consideration, for both mothers and nurses are apt to rouse and excite very young children to their manifest detriment. </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">A baby requires rest and not excitement. How wrong it is then for either a mother or a nurse to be exciting and rousing a new born baby. It is most injurious and weakening to his brain. In the early period of his existence his time ought to be almost entirely spent in sleeping and in sucking!</span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><b><span style="color: purple; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Question # 3</span></b><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><b><br style="color: #990000; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="color: #990000; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Do you approve of tossing an infant (a new born baby) much about?</span></b><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I have seen a new born child tossed nearly to the ceiling! Can anything be more cruel or absurd! Violent tossing of a young baby ought never to be allowed. It only frightens him and has been known to bring on convulsions. He should be gently moved up and down (not tossed). </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Such exercises causes a proper circulation of the blood, promotes digestion, and soothes to sleep. He must always be kept quiet immediately after taking the breast. However, because of the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), you should give careful thought to how and where baby sleeps. Though medical researchers have not found one specific cause of SIDS, they have determined several factors that most likely contribute to these tragic infant deaths. As a result, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development have developed the following safe bedding practices for infants:</div><ul style="color: purple; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><li>Place baby on her back on a firm, tight-fitting mattress in a crib that meets current safety standards. </li>
<li>Remove pillows, quilts, comforters, sheepskins, stuffed toys, and other soft products from the crib.</li>
<li>Don't let baby overheat during sleep. Dress her in light sleep clothing and keep the room at a temperature that is comfortable for an adult.</li>
<li>Make sure baby's head remains uncovered during sleep.</li>
<li>Do not place baby on a waterbed, sofa, pillow, or other soft surface to sleep.</li>

Though each child and home is different, the following guidelines should help keep baby safe.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: blue; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><b>Poison</b></div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"></div><ul style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><li><span style="font-size: small;">Have a list of important telephone numbers, including poison control, 911, your pediatrician etc. by every phone in the house.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">If baby ingests a dangerous and potentially poisonous substance, bring its container to the phone and immediately call your local poison control center. You will probably be asked to list the ingredients it contains and will be advised what steps to take. Do not try to induce vomiting without checking with poison control first.</span> </li>
<li>If you are advised by poison control to go to the hospital, take the container of what your child swallowed with you.</li>
</ul><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: blue; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><b>Choking</b></div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><ul style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><li>Learn to identify if your child is choking: if an object or piece of food becomes lodged in baby's windpipe, she will probably cough, wheeze, gag, or drool. If the object is completely blocking her airway, she will not be able to talk or cry and her face will turn blue.</li>
<li>Do not try to remove an object unless you can actually see it. Blindly sweeping through her mouth with your fingers might result in pushing the object further down her airway.</li>
<li>If you suspect your child is choking, call 911 immediately.</li>
</ul><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: blue; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><b>Burns</b></div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"></div><ul style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><li>If a burn occurs, immediately plunge the burned area into cool water (never ice). Cover the burn with a cold, moist cloth for 15 minutes.</li>
<li>Call your doctor to determine how to treat burns. First degree burns, characterized by mild redness, warmth, and discomfort, and second degree burns, which blister and ooze, can generally be treated at home with the advice of a physician. Third degree burns, characterized by charred skin, will need medical attention and must be treated at the hospital. </li>

The <b>breathing of a child in health</b> is formed of equal inspirations and expirations and it breathes quietly, regularly, inaudibly and without effort. But let inflammation of the air-tubes or lungs take place and the inspiration will become in a few hours so quickened and hurried and perhaps audible that the attention has only to be directed to the circumstance to be at once perceived.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />

Now all changes which occur in the breathing from its healthy standard however slight the shades of difference may be, it is most important should be noticed early. For many of the complaints in the chest, although very formidable in their character, if only seen early by the medical man, may be arrested in their progress but otherwise, may be beyond the control of art. A parent, therefore, should make herself familiar with the <b>breathing of her child in health</b> and she will readily mark any change which may arise. <br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Cough</span><br />
<br />
Of cough I should not have said anything in this chapter as it can never fail to be noticed except that it is highly necessary to throw out one caution. Whenever a child has the symptoms of a common cold, attended by <b>hoarseness and a rough cough</b>, always look upon it with suspicion and never neglect seeking a medical opinion. Hoarseness does not usually attend a common cold in the child and these <b>symptoms</b> may be premonitory of an attack of "croup" a disease excessively rapid in its progress and which, from the importance of the parts affected, carrying on, as they do, a function indispensably necessary to life requires the most prompt and decided treatment.<br />
<br />
The following observations of Dr. Cheyne are so strikingly illustrative and so pertinent to my present purpose, that I cannot refrain inserting them, "In the approach of an attack of croup, which almost always takes place in the evening, <b>probably of a day during which the child has been exposed to the weather</b> and often after catarrhal symptoms have existed for several days, he may be observed to be excited in variable spirits more ready than usual to laugh than to cry, a little flushed, occasionally coughing, the sound of the cough being rough, like that which attends the catarrhal stage of the measles. <br />
<br />
More generally, however, the patient has been for some time in bed and asleep, before the nature of the disease with which he is threatened is apparent. Then, perhaps, without waking, he gives a <b>very unusual cough</b>, well known to anyone who has witnessed an attack of the croup. It rings as if the child had coughed through a brazen trumpet. It is truly a tussis clangosa. It penetrates the walls and floor of the apartment and startles the experienced mother. 'Oh! I am afraid our child is taking the croup!' She runs to the nursery, finds her child sleeping softly and hopes she may be mistaken. But remaining to tend him before long the ringing cough, <b>a single cough</b> is repeated again and again. The patient is roused, and then a new symptom is remarked. The sound of his voice is changed. Puling and as if the throat were swelled it corresponds with the cough etc.<br />
<br />
How important that a mother should be acquainted with the above signs of one of the most terrific complaints to which childhood is subject for, if she only send for medical assistance during its first stage, the treatment will be almost invariably successful whereas, if this "golden opportunity" is lost, this disease will seldom yield to the influence of measures, however wisely chosen or perseveringly employed.<br />

Frequently it will be unwilling to be put into its cot at all and the nurse will be obliged to take the infant in her arms. The first milk, however, secreted in the mother's breast, acts as an aperient upon the infant's bowels and thus in about four-and-twenty hours it is cleansed away or if it should not, a tea-spoonful of castor oil accomplishes this purpose.</span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">From this time and through the whole of infancy, <b>the stools</b> will be of a lightish yellow colour, the consistence of thin mustard, having little smell, smooth in appearance, and therefore free from lumps or white curded matter and passed without pain or any considerable quantity of wind. </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">And as long as the child is in health, it will have daily two or three or even four, of these evacuations. But as it grows older, they will not be quite so frequent. They will become darker in colour and more solid, though not so much so as in the adult.</span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Any deviation, then, from the above characters, is of course a sign of something wrong and as a deranged condition of the bowels is frequently the first indication we have of coming disease, the nurse should daily be directed to watch the evacuations. </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Their appearance, colour, and the manner in which discharged are the points principally to be looked to. If the stools have a very curdy appearance or are too liquid or green or dark-coloured or smell badly, they are unnatural. </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">And in reference to the manner in which they are discharged, it should be borne in mind that in a healthy child, the motion is passed with but little wind and as if squeezed out but in disease, it will be thrown out with considerable force which is a sign of great irritation. </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">The number, too, of stools passed within the four-and- twenty hours it is important to note so that if the child does not have its accustomed relief (and it must not be forgotten that children, although in perfect health, differ as to the precise number) a little castor oil may be at once exhibited and thus mischief be prevented. </span><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><br style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;" /><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I hope this will give some idea for <b>how sleep and stools could be the signs of disease in babies</b> especially new born. <span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Suppose an infant to have acquired the power to support itself, to hold its head erect, let sickness come, its head will droop immediately and this power will be lost, only to be regained with the return of health and during the interval every posture and movement will be that of slowness.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">The little one that has just taught itself to run alone from chair to chair having two or three teeth pressing upon and irritating the gums will for a time be completely taken off its feet and perhaps lie languidly in its cot or on its nurse's arm.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><b>The legs being drawn up to the belly</b> and accompanied by crying are proofs of disorder and pain in the bowels. Press upon this part and your pressure will increase the pain. Look to the secretions from the bowels themselves and by their unhealthy character your suspicions in reference to the seat of the disorder are at once confirmed.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Sudden starting when awake as also during sleep, though it occur from trifling causes, should never be disregarded. It is frequently connected with approaching disorder of the brain. It may forebode a convulsive fit and such suspicion is confirmed if you find the thumb of the child drawn in and firmly pressed upon the palm with the fingers so compressed upon it that the hand cannot be forced open without difficulty. The same condition will exist in the toes but not to so great a degree. There may also be a puffy state of the back of the hands and feet and both foot and wrist bent downwards.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">There are other and milder signs threatening convulsions and connected with <b>gesture</b> which should be regarded;</span><br />
<ul style="color: #990000;"><li><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">The head being drawn rigidly backwards</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">An arm fixed firmly to the side or near to it</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">One of the legs drawn stiffly upwards</span></li>
</ul><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">These signs, as also those enumerated above, are confirmed beyond all doubt, if there be present certain alterations in the usual habits of the child;</span><br />

<li><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">If there be frequent fits of crying</span></li>

</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">If there is pain, the brows will be contracted and seat is in the head. This is frequently the very first noticeable sign of any thing being wrong and will occur at the very beginning of disease.  If therefore remarked at an early period and proper remedies used, its notice may prevent one of the most fearful of infantile complaints <b>"Water in the Head."</b></div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">If this sign is passed by unheeded and the above disease be threatened, soon the eyes will become fixed and staring. <span style="color: blue;">The head hot and moved uneasily from side to side upon the pillow</span> or lie heavily upon the nurse's arm. The child will start in its sleep, grinding its teeth and awake alarmed and screaming. Its face will be flushed, particularly the cheeks (as if rouged). Its hands become hot but feet cold and its bowels obstinately costive or its motions scanty, dark-coloured and foul.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">If the lips are drawn apart, so as to <span style="color: blue;">show the teeth or gums</span>, the seat of the pain is in the belly. This sign, however, will only be present during the actual existence of suffering. If, therefore, there be any doubt whether it exist, press upon the stomach and watch the effect on the expression of the countenance.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">If the pain arises simply from irritation of the bowels excited from indigestion, it will be temporary and the sign will go and come just as the spasm may occur and slight remedial measures will give relief.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">If, however, the disease be more serious and inflammation follow, this sign will be more constantly present and soon the countenance will become pale or sallow and sunken. The child will dread motion, and lie upon its back with the knees bent up to the belly. The tongue will be loaded and in breathing, while the chest will be seen to heave with more than usual effort, the muscles of the belly will remain perfectly quiescent.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">If the nostrils are drawn upwards and in quick motion, pain exists in the chest. This sign, however, will generally be the accompaniment of inflammation of the chest in which case <b>the countenance</b> will be discoloured. The eyes more or less staring and the breathing will be difficult and hurried. If the child's mode of respiring be watched, the chest will be observed to be unmoved, while the belly quickly heaves with every inspiration.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">Convulsions (Fits) are generally preceded by some changes in <span style="color: #990000;">the countenance</span>. The upper lip will be drawn up and is occasionally bluish or livid. Then there may be slight squinting, or a singular rotation of the eye upon its own axis; alternate flushing or paleness of the face; and sudden animation followed by languor.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;">These signs will sometimes manifest themselves many hours, nay days, before the attack occurs; may be looked upon as premonitory; and if timely noticed, and suitable medical aid resorted to, the occurrence of a fit may be altogether prevented.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />

Before I talk about <span style="color: blue;">signs of healthy new born baby</span>, I would like to explain why it is important for a mother to know this before she consults with doctors. (If baby born in hospital then you do not need to worry much because doctors and staff nurses will do the job. They are professionals but if the baby born at home then you can get some basic information from this article).<br />
<br />
It is therefore highly important that a mother should possess such information as will enable her to detect disease at its first appearance and thus insure for her child timely medical assistance. This knowledge it will not be difficult for her to obtain. She has only to bear in mind what are the indications which constitute health, and she will at once see that all deviations from it must denote the presence of disorder, if not of actual disease. With these changes she must to a certain extent make herself acquainted.<br />
<br />
The first signs of disease coming on are not always visible to an un-practiced eye. It may have made dangerous advances before the mother's mind is awakened to its presence and medical aid may be solicited when remedies and advice are no longer of any avail.<br />
<br />
The <span style="color: purple;">signs of health</span> are to be found, first, in the healthy performance of the various functions of the body i.e. the regular demands made for its supply (neither in excess or deficiency) and a similar regularity in its excretions both in quantity and appearance.<br />
<br />
If the figure of the healthy infant is observed, something may be learnt from this. There will be perceived such an universal roundness in all parts of the child's body that there is no such thing as an angle to be found in the whole figure whether the limbs are bent or straight, every line forms a portion of a circle. The limbs will feel firm and solid, and unless they are bent, the joints cannot be discovered.<br />
<br />
The tongue, even in health, is always white but it will be free from sores, the skin cool, the eye bright, the complexion clear, the head cool and the abdomen not projecting too far. The breathing should be regular and without effort. <br />
<br />
When awake, the infant will be cheerful, sprightly and loving to be played with. He / She will often break out into its merry, happy laugh.<br />
<br />
Whilst, on the other hand, when asleep, it will appear calm, every feature composed, its countenance displaying an expression of happiness and frequently, perhaps, lit up with a smile.<br />

The challenge of parenting is that each parent must come to know their child--and themselves--and make critical decisions regarding the type of parent, they will be. I believe that the definition of a "good parent" is a parent who prepares their child to live a life where the parent is no longer needed. In short, a parent who allows themselves to become "not needed" is perhaps the parent who is doing the task of parenting as well.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">My children, 18 and 17, are continuing towards that ultimate goal. Each day they make decisions that are more and more "their own". In my work teaching parenting at a local community center and have often been asked by clients, "what makes a good parent?" Because the task of parenting is so daunting and each parent and child so unique, the answer to that question is one I approach carefully and thoughtfully and with much humility. Yet, I believe that better parenting makes for a better world and that parenting is done in concert with others who have lived and learned. Here are my suggestions:</p><b><br />

<p style="text-align: justify;"><b>1-Say "yes" as much as possible.</b> Saying yes does not mean "no limits". You can say, "Yes, you can have a cookie AFTER you eat your dinner." or "Yes, you can play with your friend AFTER you clean your room."</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>2-"Hold on loosely" but don't let go.</b> Sure, it's a rock song, but it works in most relationships, especially parenting. The goal of parenting is to make the dependent people independent in every way: socially, financially, spiritually and emotionally. And compare good parenting is a sledding slope. The first fives years are about the basics: getting all the required gear together, getting comfortable, finding the groove. This is the hard, physical, and sometimes exhausting work. The next five years is the trek up the mountain where issues of trust in the parenting relationship are at their most delicate. Kids are asking, "Can I count on you?" during these times and parents must answer back, "Absolutely". The next five years is the trek down where it is all about just guiding and enjoying the ride and recovering from any wipe outs. Celebration and reflection are the hallmarks of this stage.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>3-Know the difference in covenant and contract</b>. A covenant is an agreement based upon one person whereas a contract is an agreement based upon two people. Parenting is a covenant in the sense that love is there for children at no cost, expense or effort on their part. My children cannot earn my love, it is mine to give. There are things in the relationship, though, that need contractual agreements, not necessarily in the legal sense but in the agreement sense. "When you finish your homework, we'll go to the movie." or "when your grades rise, you can have access to the car."</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>4-My children are not "mine".</b> I'm grateful (and humble) for being a part of the process of creating my children but they are not mine. I do not own them and in fact, the roles I have is to provide them the opportunity for them to be the "boss of themselves" not for me to be the "boss of them".</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>5-My children are not to carry on my dreams.</b> What a tremendous burden, it is for kids to struggle under the weight of their parents hopes and dreams. I want my kids to have their own dreams, not be burdened with unmet dreams of my life. That means that when they are on the playing field of life--either metaphorically or physcially-my role is to cheer on my kid and their team. My kids are not there to struggle under my past "no matter how glorious or pathetic.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>6-Speak truth into their lives whenever possible.</b> Parenting is an opportunity for parents to create an opportunity where children see themselves in the story of life. This means that parents can literally speak what can be "into the lives of their children whenever possible. This is why the messages that parents give their children are so important because from a as child's point of view the parent is the mirror in which they see themselves. Sometimes it may sound like a fiction story "when you say," I know you can accomplish _____ goal! " And sometimes it may be the impossible dream. The goal of dreaming is to create a new reality that can be accomplished simply by seeing possibilities over: the good, the bad, the possible in the impossible.<br />
Conversely, it is the parents role to guide the child into areas where they may be more suited. While I would never discourage my children to try new things and can see where they may have more natural gifts and can encourage their development in music, arts or athletics whenever I can. The ultimate decision for where and child goes, however, is their own.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>7-Be a screw up "- </b>I believe that kids need guidance, not perfection. In fact, I believe the role of parenting is to create completion not perfection. Parenting, by design, is as much about parents formation as it is the kids. This humble approach to parenting is transformative in that parents will learn as much about themselves and the world through the process of good parenting as the kids will.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>8-Companion to # 7</b>-"Say" I'm sorry "quickly-I have no problem saying" I blew it! "to my kids" when appropriate ". The reality is I blow it everyday. While it is humbling to realize that my kids already know more math skills than I ever will, it is also reassuring. No parent can know everything nor can any parent be everything for their child. A parent can, however, let their child know that they are cared for and that they are not alone.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>9-Have a partner- </b>Whether married or not, parents need support. I am grateful for my husband of 21 years who is gifted in ways that I cannot ever be. As our kids have grown up and am comforted to how my husband can untangle the knot with our kids. At other times my parenting skill set may be more suited to a given situation. Knowing the needs of the child and what is most needed at the time is a skill to be learned as you know your child. Be patient with this process and with yourself. (Refer to 7 & 8 above!)</p>.<br />
<p style="text-align: justify;"><b>10-Pray a lot- </b>I believe that kids are part of life's design with a creator that knows everything they need before they ever take a first breath. Toddler’s biting behaviour is one of the built in behaviours. <br />

Few days ago it was not an important issue for me but when my 1 ½ year daughter started biting me or my son on our fingers (whenever she likes or get chance), I realized that I should search the reason for it. During my search I found many videos, articles and books on the internet. I try to explain some of them;<br />
<ul style="text-align: left;"><li><i><b>Way of Communication:</b></i> According to study, majority of toddlers start biting between their first and third birthdays. Probably the most common reason is that it is one effective way for their communication before verbal skills are developed. However, not all children bite. Some choose other forms of communication, such as grabbing, shoving, or punching.</li>
<li><i><b>Frustration:</b></i> Another reason toddlers bite is to express frustration, a feeling which is very common with toddlers, because both their communication skills are so limited. </li>
<li><i><b>For Fun:</b></i> As I mentioned above when my daughter bites, it is funny for her to see mommy suddenly bolt upright or for her brother to start crying. </li>
<li><i><b>Teething:</b></i> Toddlers may also bite because they're teething or because they put everything in their mouths anyway, so why not someone's finger? It could even be something as simple as hunger. </li>
</ul><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-size: large;">How to teach your child not to bite?</span></b></div><br />
Yes, what I suggest, firstly, make it perfectly clear that the biting is hurtful and wrong and point out to your child how much pain their biting has caused.  Express that biting is wrong and unacceptable and that neither mommy nor daddy likes it.  <br />
<br />
Try to find the reason behind biting behaviour. If you discover that your child is biting out of frustration, try giving them an alternative to express to people they are having a difficult time.  Though language is a difficult task at this age, most toddlers can be taught words that are appropriate for such a situation. <br />
<br />
It’s not easy but you try to teach your toddler that "You need to tell mommy or daddy that you need help and not bite us" or "Show mommy what you need, but don't bite.  You'll hurt her if you bite and I know you don't want to hurt mommy, do you?" <br />
<br />
I also found that parents should try not to give biting so much attention that it becomes an attention-getter. This is true of all behavior that you don't want to see repeated.  Firmly tell the child again that there is no biting allowed, that it is wrong, and that it hurts people.<br />

My friend was telling me about their hectic lives, work schedules, after-school activities, errands and the likes etc. She was complaining about her kids who are not eating properly. So I tried to explain her how with few simple ideas and with some planning, meal time can be an enjoyable and treasured family time.</span><br />

<div style="font-size: 18px; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 17px;"><b>In a recent Columbia University study, 84% of teenagers said they preferred to have dinner with their families..</b></span></div><br />
<span style="font-size: 17px;">I said to her, “according to recent studies, not only do children like to sit down at the dinner table and eat a meal with their parents, but they are more likely to eat a well-balanced, nutritious meal as well”.   </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: 17px;">I don’t know about you but we sit together each night and eat. At the beginning, I suggest, designate no less than one night per week to have a sit-down meal with your family. Most probably, Sunday nights are usually a good choice for this because you have more time to relax and the weekend chores have been completed.</span><br />

This gives them a strong sense of self and the foundation for a lifetime of healthy meal planning and preparation.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: 17px;">Once you sit together try to do the following;</span><br />
<span style="font-size: 17px;"></span><br />
<ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-size: 17px;">Make sure they wash their hands.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 17px;">Sit together and pray before your meal.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 17px;">I have observed one common mistake in my other friend’s homes that they watch TV during meal. This diverts their attention from their kids. So make sure the television is off.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 17px;">Make it a rule that all phone calls go to voice mail or the answering machine during the meal.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 17px;">Take your time eating and teach your children how to do the same in the process. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 17px;">Eating slowly is a healthy habit.  Don't jump up and start clearing dishes and putting things away until everyone is done eating and talking.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 17px;">Eat less than your will. Simple rule (make three portions of your stomach. One for air, one for water and one for meal to live a healthy life)</span></li>

<span style="font-size: 17px;">Yes, I understand you cannot do this every day even you should. So what you can do on the other days when you can't sit down as a family? Well, try to make a habit of sitting down and chatting with them while they are eating, instead of rushing around catching up on the chores.  </span><br />

<span style="font-size: 17px;">This shows them you're interested and that you care and want to be and involved and important part of their everyday life. <i style="color: purple;"><b>3-    Testicle Twist or Torsion of testes in male kids</b></i>: When the spermatic cord to a testicle twists, cutting off the blood supply. When a male baby cries continuously his scrotum should be examined. Torsion of the testes produce severe pain which will be worse by touching the affected testes. When the testes are pressed upwards pain is relieved. If this is not treated properly it can damage the affected testes due to lack of blood supply.</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />
<i style="color: purple;"><b>4-    Meningitis</b></i>: Meningitis is inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord, known collectively as the meninges.
